I was minding my own business, looking at a scrapbooking site online, and there was an ad at the top of each page that scrolled through different messages.

Unions. It figures. But if they think the tea party movement is a fad, they are sadly mistaken.Labor union money linked to anti-Tea Party Web site

Organized labor may be putting their
dollars behind an online effort to take down Tea Party groups and their “radical
ideas.”
A new Web site, TheTeaPartyIsOver.org, has connections to
unions, including the Service Employees International Union and the American
Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
The American Public
Policy Committee pays for the site, whose self-declared mission is to “prevent
the Tea Party’s dangerous ideas from gaining legislative traction.”
According to Opensecrets.org, the top two financial backers of the
American Public Policy Committee this year are Patriot Majority West and Patriot
Majority, largely funded by union dollars.
During the 2008 election
cycle, the AFSCME contributed $5.8 million and the SEIU donated $770,000 to
Patriot Majority. Teamsters Union also donated $250,000, United Food &
Commercial Workers Union gave $125,000 and the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO donated
$6,500 to the group.
Attempts to contact the American Public Policy
Committee and Patriot Majority were not successful.
The site encourages
visitors to call Republicans Randy Hultgren, Arie Friedman and David McAloon —
all running for the U.S. House in Illinois — to “reject the dangerous ideas of
the Tea Party.”
“This movement is a fad,” the Web site reads, whose
“ideas include undermining the legitimacy of the federal government in favor of
a radical right-wing form of state’s rights.”

Don't be a sucker, it doesn't strike you as a tad odd that all of these "targets" might as well have "loser" tattooed on their foreheads? The unions would LOVE it if their chosen only had to face these emptiest of the empty suits in November. They're trying to get the tea partiers to get all excited about these guys in the hopes that they'll all turn out for them and block the conservatives who can actually win in November. They're trying to play you like a fiddle in order to keep their hand chosen card check fascists in office.
Desperation...in all it's glory. Let them spend all of their money on these bogus ads. If that's the best they can do, have at it. But the Tea Party movement is not going anywhere.
Sadly mistaken, indeed. Next Tea Party in my town, I'm there. Have Gadsden Flag on the back of my car.
"Legislative traction???"
Can we say Scott Brown?? There's some legislative traction for ya - the kind that has ground BHO's hlthcr. agenda to a screeching halt. Hallelujah for small miracles!
This is the second blog I have visited today that raises questions about the Tea Party movement. In my opinion, it will ebb and flow in relation to the current travesty being perpetrated by President BO and his minions in congress. If the timing is right, the Tea Pary movement will both continue and prevail.
This is a typical union tactic. I've seen the SEIU target companies this way when they haven't been able to get their foot in the door to unionize the employees. Ads like that will further alienate independent-minded people.
We can see a pattern here. Unions, ACORN and the new Radical Left wing administration. We don't need a map to connect the dots. I wrote this without any help from my Teleprompter.
Keep up with the great Blog.
